From what I have read the performance loss is not enough to notice and the trade off for reliability is worth it. But it would seem obvious since the OS 10D card has a 10mm air horn and the TRX carb has a 14mm air horn. The smaller air horn is going to allow less air which may reduce top end slightly but the trade off is a greatly improved low end response and torque. The 10D could make the 2.5 a wheelie monster if one wanted to. Otherwise you could adjust by changing the clutch engagement and or the gear ratio at the spur gear to try and get less low end and more top end.
