Step one in test driving anything is to show them your trade-in, then they know you have something they can work with. When they ask what you want for the trade, say "whatever". Now they think they have a moron in the showroom. From there they will ask about financing. Tell them you want minimum down with maximum time and you want to finance through the dealership. By now he will be getting keys to everything in the place AND be getting you a coffee and donut. Next tell him color doesn't matter. Now you'll have the phone number for the girl working the cash register.
Now the test drive.......
