Stock shafts on the Maxx are bulky and light (and cheap$)but will eventually twist no matter what gearing you have IMO, after a gallon I usaully replace mine. I found that installing the shafts backwards(axle on the male shaft as oppose to the female shaft) extends the life on them a little longer. Cvds are the way to go, but I've seen MIP's twisted. Not sure who make's the strongest Cvd's, so anyone please chime in. But for now I'll stick to the stockers untill I have some extra $cratch to blow.
