landing on power on the downslope of a landing jump can mean tremendous added speed also.
I land on power all the time, multiple times per lap. Doesn't work for everyone but the fast guys do it j/k
I also let off the gas before exiting the launch jump most of the time. Otherwise the front end comes up to much and I generally like it to nose down to prepare for the landing side. With the big MT tires in air throttle adjustments are very touchy.
