Tex Wrote:yeah I don't know anything about the mach.28,. all i know is the mach.26's seemed like a really good bargain.Tune and myself had conrods break in our sh.28's at less than a gallon.... But i know that hobbypeople took care of me and sent me a brand new motor... Which i sold to tune, that also blew the rod:eek: ... SH ( the maker of the engine) had a bad batch of connecting rods make it into production. They went into the mach .26's that here destin for LST's and into the sh.28's. Hobbypeople ( sh engine distributer) and SH have recitfyed this problem many months ago and both engine are back on par....
Sorry for the crap info. I have just seen way to many broken conrods in SH.28's for me to accept that they are good motors.
Who on here has broken a conrod in a SH.28? multiple people just on this board alone.
To be sure your getting a "new" problem free SH engine just look on the flange where it mounts to the motor mount ... You should see a 4 to 5 number serial number with a letter in it... If you dont see one dont buy the engine. Insist on a newer serial numbered model. You will have no problems with these models, And if you do hobbypeople.net has amazing customer support! They warrentied the SH that blew for me and i didnt even buy it from them.
Dont mess wit my sig Line tune!
