Boats won't sink!!! they put floataton foam into most boats so even if you filled the thing with water it would still stay afloat. If it doesn't have floatation foam just put some styrfoam or packing peanuts in there the hull and it won't sink.
Nitro and Gas boats suck in the suburbs because many villages have ordinaces against running ANY Fuel burning device on village owned body of water. I know Schaumnurg does, and hoffman estates both have them. I think its elmhurst or addison even goes so far as to provide a specific pond (near North ave and 83) just for Nitro and gas boats to run of which you have to have a village permit! (also an FYI don't go to that pond unless your car is 100% street legal because those forest preserve cops will look to give tickets )
