not really, just have to put one of the included dots on the back of your fly wheel and the sensor mounts on with you motor mounts you just have to make sure its 1/8 inch from the back of the flywheel, it was a pain on m,ine because the flywheel isnt a big as i would like but thats an easy fix, blus if you do some math and put it in the unit you can get speed in mph, but on dirt it won't be 100% becuase of tires spinning lol but should be a pretty close, you dont really need that thought but its still kinda cool, the temp sensor will be really cool though so you dont have to worry about cooking an engine becuase a pressure fitting comes lose or something becuase you will have a real time readout, the rpm readout will be cool to test different clutch setups and tires.
