As many of you know.... I have run just about every class at some point, and after being out of the game for a while, am trying to get back in on one heck of a budget. I need some opinions as to which way to go.
Mr. Tune has offered up a GS Storm in basic RTR form. Stock motor, basic AM radio (I may have an XR2 around here) basic servos, 4 cell reciever pack.... entry level buggy. (I love the storm BTW)
My question is should I go this route, or try to pick up a cheap 1/10 scale somewhere?? (XXX-NT or GT)
I know that the scale will be more durable, but 1/10 parts will be cheaper. I think scale may also be more fun to bash, and has a larger class. Granted the storm is not a race buggy, I can still be out there.
I am leaning towards the storm (We are at about a 90% lean here) but I just wanted to get a couple last reccomendations because I value the opinions on here. (Most of them at least). I think that with basic upgrades like reciever pack, and maybe servos, I can at least get around the track with a few of the other scales. When money is a little easier to come by I could always swap out a motor and other parts to get more competative, and then just swap out the roller at some point.
So, what do you guys think?? Pick up Scale??
Thanks everyone, Especially John,
Dan
