According to Associated's site, their RTR's are made offshore, and the kits are made in the good ole USofA. Confusedalute:

RTR brings good value to someone who isn't looking to upgrade much. Kits allow you to install exactly what you want for engine, radio, servos, etc. without having to strip out the entry level RTR gear and unload it. Hardcore racers generally want kits so they can build it ready to race the first time out.
