Yeah man I'm a sophomore lol...I took shop last year and safety glasses saved my eyes a few times...Weather it be by the stupid kids that just take shop cause their friends did, or by welding and have sparks thrown up at you...Or when you have to chip off the slag (I think that's what it's called) once you have made a bead. I got a chunk of that in the lip and burned like hell. I would hate to have that hit me in the eye...
