The reason why we have built 2 driverstands is the first one is standard driverstand it is 20' long 4' wide and the base is approximately 40" off the ground. It has a scoring tower at one end of it for the AMB system and announcing. The second driverstand is a handicap stand for wheelchairs and motorized scooters. It is 8' x 8' and approximately 24" off the ground with a ramp excess. The reason with that now days there are a lot of people with motorized scooters and if you combined it into the standard driverstand there is not enough room for them to turn around.
Hopefully this answers your questions on the driverstand.
The main worry with the carpet offroad tearing up the ozite is when the cars land after a jump. We have to be careful of such things as small screws hanging off the bottom of the chassis. We have to provide a landing area after the jumps that will prevent tears in the ozite.
