Steering Servo? Fast or strong? What's better?

Ok, I see the 358z has 2 metal & 1 plastic gear. For $4.50 I can swap the plastic gear for a metal gear, making the only difference (that I see) the heatsink. Total cost $99 vs $129. Is the heatsink that valuable to the life of the servo if you're not racing every day?
