I had a SB motor so I could have an overall weight of 6lbs if I wanted. If I ran a BB, like my old P5 I would have had to be at least 9.5lbs.
I ran classic BT's because the bigger tire tends to settle the revo for added stability. The smaller tires (like boas) make the truck to "jerky" or basically like a squirel on crack. That does not make laptimes faster.
On a high bite surface like the indoor track I use boas because of the amount of traction available. I can run small tires indoor and still keep the truck under control ok. Although the bigger tires indoor does allow me to hold tighter lines and be more consistant.
