satoch Wrote:"The pipes are not there to stop trucks anyways they are there for lane seperation." My point exactly. If a tube is up so high that it stops a monster truck it's too damned high! And don't say, "well you shouldn't hit them" because I've seen all of you guys hit them. It's not realistic to think it won't happen.
A much more important point to consider: If the pipes are low enough so that when someone gets off track they can self marshall to get back on then there's less chance of a marshall being injured. Proper usage of pipes to "outline a track" is a safety issue as well. That's why I keep bringing it up. I've been hit by buggies while marshalling-it really hurts!
I'll go ahead and say it..... well, you shouldnt hit the pipes
With some of the drivers Ive seen, Im thankfull that the pipes were high enough to stop a M/T, and yet Ive still seen too many cross over into another lane and hit someone else head on
Ive even had it happen to me once, minding my own race, in my own lane, and all of the sudden there is a M/T jumping the pipe and coming right at me
