Good Deal on Airfilters
#1
I have been reading good reviews on these filters, and just saw a main now has them cheaper than their main distributor. So you know I ordered a set, they make like 4 different sizes for specific filter holders

They are suppose to have the density as the mugen ones (which are suppose to be the best) plus they have the outer pre filter and they come with the oil, plus 12 filters and oil oil for 29.00 is a good deal. I think the mugen sell for like $7 or $8 for 2

It seemed like a good deal so I just ordered these filters on Thursday and should have them early next week. We will put them to use next weekend at our DD race and see how good they are.

I got to get rid of the motor saver filter. They changed the element and they now don't seem to have as much crush on the base to keep the dirt out. The blue motor saver element are ok it the new black filters that worry me because they are shorter and don't seem to seal as good.

a good tip is tp put grease on the edge of each side of the filter to seal it to the platic cap (buggy type filters).

Motor savers where always plagued with that problem, I bought one when I first had my Savage becasue it was the one to get, and then read soemwhere that none of the pros or experienced drivers where using them due to the fit factor.

Never had a problem untill recent with the Motor Saver, must be all the GS power. Wink If I could only see the expresion on your guys faces about the GS power comment. :bustingup

Strobe Racing gave me a good tip were don't use the outer pre-filter and you wrap your element one time with adhesive medical gauze. Then after a heat of racing or when it gets dirty you just toss the gauze. I'm going to try this also and see how it works. Strobe racing did this at the X games and it worked good.

i did the medical gauze for a while. it does work good but i think it could get expensive. i just wash my pre filters and keep using them and then the only thing that you are buying is your filter.

dirtdawgsrc... welcome back. hope you had a good time and we will see you in 3 weeks.

Thats like the horse wrap trick. The horse wrap was way to constrictive, it hardly let any air pass. I would try blowing trhough it before putting on your filter to make sure all the air is passing thru.

I got the filters today, seem to be real nice, and enough oil for about 10 years. Glad they will be selling them without the oil also ....

Got my filters today also. There good and like you guys said they sure give enough oil to last for some time.

Tim I'm now running the RB filter on both of my trucks. The RB filter assembly is really good, made very well. They came with the filter assembly a 90 degree elbow and 5 filters primary and secondary. I then purchased the 10 pack of additional filters. I'm sure I have an extra 90 degree if you need it. Remind me before Sunday if you need it.
