so your gonna beat a revo with that thing? Is that after he runs out of fuel or when his reciever pack dies? And how long will it take you to catch up to him before you actually pass him? Please provide the details so i know what to do in the mean time. JK Bud.

Why not put a .30 Collari in that plastic wagon by the steps? That would have just as good of a chance at beating a Revo as a Savage! LOL!!!!!

(just kidding, I never understood the Chevy vs. Ford stuff until now...)

I was just waiting for the seriously modded Revo owners to throw down on this thread. And now they have. Sorry RCD, the stock Revo's (mine) may get whomped by the Savage, but Satoch, Tex, Mich, et al will be packing heat in thiers. Should be fun to watch.

That's why they're sooo sensitive about the subject! :p:

OK Dad, now you've change gears in the middle of a heated thread! Careful you don't strip out a transmission. This debate started with "Revo eating machine" and was geared toward racing trucks. Suddenly it's about Revo's breaking at a bash. I think most everyone agrees Savages are built tough for bashing. Revo's are built slick for racing. You started this debate about turning the Savage into a Revo beater on the track, yes? It does no good to restate the already obvious fact that given the same amount of thrashing at a bash, the Sav will outlast a Revo. Two different schools of engineering for two different purposes. Until they start putting 6' tall backflip kicker ramps in race tracks, why design your race truck to handle that abuse?

I'll hang up and wait for my answer.

BTW, read closely....I agreed with you in there.

I remember a long time back when people gave Mich a hard time for wanting to make his Revo make race oriented and not bash with it any more. Now look how many race-tricked Revos are showing up. Was he just ahead of his time? And was he right not to bash up his Green Monster?

no, he should still bash his tricked out revo! I built a race truck but I will still bash with the best of them. Anything can be rebuilt/replaced. What could possible break on a revo during bashing that would put someone in the dog house? a shock? oh...wow...buy (4) more for $50 and have 3 spares. (just as an example)

I still don't see much difference between racing and bashing as far as damage is concerned. I was amazed this season to see maybe 2-3 cars finish a race because of broken parts etc. That's one thing I thought about as far as a Savage racer, it just seems it would take the abuse.

It may not corner as well but as far as being put out of a race because someone runs into you etc. it seems like it would be far tougher.

I suppose I'll find out .... some day ... whenever the Joliet track is built but I know several guys on SC who race competitively in the A-Mains at local tracks, however, they have said the Savage is worthless in national competition.

Not everyone has the depth of financial resources that you and I do Wink . Some of the younger guys, like the guys still having their moms shuttle them around, don't have the income, let alone the disposable income, to destroy things at the rate some guys do. I'm still amazed at how fast $50 goes in the hobby shop! But IT"S WORTH IT !!!!!

I just point out that bashers get REALLY carried away, especially when you mix beer, testosterone, and peer pressure. I remember video footage of a guy driving his Revo into a FIRE! Showmerc has video of guys stuffing skyrockets into trucks and lighting them off. Tell me they didn't regret that the next day when they sobered up!

again, you've never raced off-road so how can you make that assumption? Trust me, someone who has bashed for years and raced for a year that racing puts more stress on a RC. UNLESS you know how to drive very clean on a track (ie, take all the jumps very smooth and stay off the pipes). In off-road there are jumps, not to mention people smashing into you. Usually you break yourself on jumps though.

For a "novice" racer they will break more on a track than bashing.

For an "experienced" racer they will probally break more in a bash session as opposed to the track.

That was US! we strapped rockets to mini-t's and michowski is the one driving his revo in the fire at Berwyn (when his revo was new)

The kid starting his wheels on fire and jumping into the fire at CampMaxx is Jake from STL.

All those vids you see on showmerc and the chitownrc vid is all US!

Looks like fun don't it?

That one truck looked pretty big, like a Maxx or Sav. That rocket was like a 3 ouncer and it ROASTED the shell off that truck. It looked like an Iraqi car bomb!!! Sweet, as long as it's not my truck!
