That gear was made pretty darn beefy too. Normally if you take something that is made to take force in one direction and turn it sideways it is very weak and will collapse. All things considered they did an amazing job.

Just read it. They said it just became the 3rd most instense hurrican in recorded history. :eek: This one is a monster. I sure hope everyone that's in it's way will get the hell outa there!

The thread title should be Non-Crash Landing. That pilot deserves a nice Christmas card from every passenger on that flight. But being that it was CA, they will all prolly sue JetBlue over it.

I heard they circled for three hours to burn there fuel payload off... I guess green peace is bored... Maybe they should head down to new orleans and protest the pumping of millons of gallons of tanted water back into the oceans. We should just leave the cest pool were it is ..... What do expect there are Californians (j/k), I am a "airliner" fan, love them jet from Boeing to Airbus, but I was reading in the Suntimes, that the problem with the nosegear has happened on several more times before on the A320. And as for greenpeace, they should research a little on the aircraft. The A320 can not dump fuel from the flightdeck, a tech has to hook up and fueling hose to the wing and pump it out. They why the circled for 3 hours. Great job by crew though!
