The crazy part of that is, when you actually do a wheelstand that high you cannot see anything but sky. You don't know if the car will stay straight, cross the center line or pitch into the wall when you come down. You have to have alot of confidence in your chassis tuning skills. You also cannot get scared and let off the throttle because the front end comes down quite violently, bending a-arms, caving in oilpans, tweaking motor plates, etc. Your only choice is to pretty much ride it out.

That is the crowd I used to hang with. I built hot rods and did race car fabrication along w/ custom paint and bodywork for almost 10 yrs. I've driven race cars w/ 540cu.in 900+ HP engines that run into the low 9's high 8's.
I also worked in a European exotic restoration shop that specialized in late 50's to mid 60's Ferraris, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. I did the mechanical assembly, tuning and test driving. The coolest part was actually getting paid to pound on millon $$+ cars so the owners would know that they will stay toghether on the race track.

I've spoken to a few people who have pulled off some wheelies at the track. Most of them told me the first time you do it, you'll practically crap yourself. You need balls of steel to stare at the sky and hope you're going straight.

i've been in a car thats done them never got that high though, that has to take balls of steel! tex you really been in forces car!!! j/k his car doesn't really do wheelies hence the bars on the back!!
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PAIN; THE INK AND THE JEWELRY ARE JUST SOUVENIERS
