got my wing on
#26
keep the derogatory racial remarks to yourselves guys (i.e...no "ricer" comments)

We have asian people on this board and I think you would be offended if they said "honkey trucks" and stuff like that.

I'm editing your posts accordingly

Boosted,

I really didn't mean to trash anyone's Pride and Joy. I respect those who have the tech ability to make anything better, be it a Civic or a RC car. It's the "doing" that's important.

I own Hondas and I make fun of "Fast and Furious" posers. It's a stock Civic guys, c'mon. Those done well I can respect. The sheet metal wings crewed through the decklid, and it's on crooked, that's a waste. Unless they did it to make fun of F&F posers!

Back to Rob's wing.........nice wing, but I'm saving up for the full 36" wide version used at Berwyn for my truck!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BIG OR GO HOME !!!!!!!

Rob, it seemed your wing was really durable when we were at the jumps, it too some massive hits. Another bonus, I'm sure your bodies will last TONS longer because of the protection the wing provides. No more buying a new body every 5 tanks...lol

It's not a derogatory term. It's just a term to describe tasteless visual mods to ANY car or vehicle.

BTW, I had the baddest hillbillly truck around. I knew it was a hillbilly truck. I wouldn't be offended if some asian guy came up and said "Hey, nice hillbilly truck!". (1976 Dodge 1-ton military truck, camo paint, no power steering, 40"x17" tires)

I'm with boosted. I think we have quickly gotten to strict on this board. Granted I have not been here nearly as long as some of you... but I feel that I have been here long enough to know what is going on. I believe that a "ricer" has come to be a term accepted by just about everyone. I have countless asian friends and aquantences who call them the same thing. If it is nice they will call it a tuner. And I'm sure that if it offended anyone, and they made a comment about it, the person who posted it would have no problem editing it.

Now I'm going to drive my hop-burning europen brew machine. (Volkswagen...)

I don't care if you think it's "strict" , follow rules and nothing will be deleted or edited. Think before you type.

We are trying to get everyone to shape up, it won't always be like this. You guys can't even follow rules for a day....it's pitifull.

ok, now back to the subject of the thread please...Rob's wing, remember?

the wing mounts are prety durable for the most part...minus the cold weather...plastic and cold do not mix at all. I broke eight (8) front bulks on my maxx the first winter I had it.
