My Amazing Dinner...
#1
So I went out to eat tonight with my parents and my girlfriend. Long story short... my dad's friend owns a resteraunt in china town (Happy Chef) and they get a couple live king crabs flown in from alaska twice a year. Well here is the ten pounder we had tonight. The pictures really don't show it's size.

Before: (This sucker kept spinning the lazy susan around. Kind of funny)

This is the third time we ahave gone and it is the second biggest at 10 lbs. Thothers were about 12 and 8. They are so sweet you don't even need butter. :joy:

Yeah he was one expensive bastage... but worth every penny. You eat everything. It is so cool. After they cut the legs and claws off and you have those... they break the body apart and pretty much take everything else and make it into a noodle dish. Really good. Kind of sad to think that when you get just the legs from a grocery store... they just threw the rest away. It was soo cool to se him alive and walking around though.

they don't throw the rest away!! they use everything but the shell! and even that gets used as fertilizer

Believe me... through many sources I have found that most is thrown away. Some may be chopped up for fertilizer... but not as much as you may hope.

And as for them being aphrodisiacs, that's BS. Ate a dozen last night and only 4 of them worked. Rolleyes

Hey... survival of the fittest. Either I hate him or he was eating me. This place actually has really good oysters too. They make it with some sort of weird bean sauce and when they are done being steamed they are perfect... every time. No snot and not tough. My second favorite thing from that resteraunt.

They are awesome...

We eat all sorts of weird stuff there though. Last time we had geoduck. It is a clam with a big muscular foot. What is inside the clam they cook up but the slice the foot real thin and serve it on ice. That you eat raw. Very tasty. On top of the crab dish yesterday were some orage fish eggs... also awesome.

Here is a pic of a geoduck. That thing that looks like a you know what is the foot, and the part we ate raw.

And these were no ordinary oysters... you had to cut them into at least 3 big pieces to eat them. They were huge this time.

I have kids and spoil them.....that's how I know PokeMan. Though, I wish I had all that money back, along with beanie babies, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, GameBoy, GameBoyAdvanced, PlayStation.......jeez why did I start that? Now I'm depressed. Oh well, nothing a good Christmas shopping spree won't cure!!
got paint?
