Savage Mid-Tank mod
#1
I'm in the process of rebuilding a Savage I recently picked up. I decided to fabricate my own mid tank mod using an Ofna 9.5 tank. I've used this tank before and have had good luck w/ it. The tank is internally baffled w/ built in filter. This also left room for a RPM reciver box and allows the use of a flat Rx pack next to the tank.

I fabricated a carbon fiber plate for the steering posts that also provides a surface for the fuel tank post and battery to sit on. Another CF plate relocates and lowers the steering servo.

Check it out and lmk what you think.

Thanks, I've never owned a Savage and wanted to see why everyone likes (or dislikes) them so much.

Roc, the rear knuckles are made by Integy Rolleyes (I know...but they were on when I got it) I think GH makes some that are similar and probably a better grade alloy. It will be interesting to see if they hold up considering Integy's crappy reputation.
