well the new z06 is said to go 198mph...with 500 hp. there are several supras in the chicagoland area alone that put down over 500rwhp(rear wheel...not flywheel to the clueless). So i really dont doubt that people do it. I really dont care about the 1/4 mile....everyone knows marco made some mid to low 8 sec passes @ over 160mph with the infamous white supra. You really cant mess with that thing and he street drives it often, I dont mean to sound like a grip but its pretty sick.
There is a sick fully built viper with the plates buzzbmb or something ike that. I know 2 years ago it made something like 800rwhp and he had in car videos of the thing just ripping on the highway.

yeah the C6 ZO6 is crazy fast. I bet it will do close to 200. A GM rep drove one on the power tour this year. One bad ass car. That car was damn fast!
Ahhh marko's supra. I remember being at GLD one day several years back. This white supre pulled up to the line against a tubbed chevelle. the Chevelle pulled him off the line then all the sudden the supra spooled up and rocketed past the chevelle. the chevelle ran a 10.9 somehting but the supra... that thing ran a 9.74 ON 17" drag radial! haha.. also reminds me another time at GLD the Turbo Minivan laid wasted a poor guy in a mini tubbed 68 Nova! lol.. the nova ran a 12.6 someihtng.. Minivan 11.89!!

I have seen some videos of those turboed vans. Pure insanity. I had one pull up next to me. I had to do a double take when I heard the BOV on it. Funny as hell...

We had a 89 Turbo Dodge Caravn back in 90, it was my Mom's it was jetblack with purple pin strips. We used to call it the purple and black attack, and it was helluva fast. I learned to drive on that van, and didn't mind have to "borrow" the van.

No it isn't. I know the car. I have the '03 180 HP GTI with the 5-speed he has the older one ('00 or '01 I think) that has 150 HP and the 4 speed. I destroy it in a race. That's why I really need to see the video for proof because I know my car in stock trim doesn't go above about 128. When I wish chipped however it was flying easily past 140...

Yeah... those 2.0 can be made very fast. They are a fun motor to build off of. They are nice because the will give a little more bottom end than the 1.8t.

Yeah... that's what I gathered. It is actually a favored motor of tuners to build off of though. It has a good block and accepts mild boost fairly well. They produce good numbers. If you have one of the rarer 2.1's that was marked as a 2.0 you are even better off still. That adds a few g's to the sale price.

135 MPH in my old 1989 Dodge Spirit Turbo. Man that thing was a sleeper. Weighed next to nothing and had 150 HP - a very under rated HP from the factory. Too bad it was a POS in every other way. I had my 2002 250 HP nissan Maxima up to only 120. I'm getting old. My Honda minivan has 240 HP and I amit I have not even gone past 80. How I have changed since kids.

2.2 Turbod Dodges were a blast!! I had a frind that had a Red 86 GLH. He tossed in a Mopar Performance Computer, a large cone air filter, and alrger diamater down pipe and exhaust. That car ran mid-low 14's all day long. Knew another guy that had a gold GLH that was a mid 13 sec beast... but everyhitng else about those cars was Pure Dodge Omni Spec from the 2" thick doors, constant electrical problems, to the Brake calpiwers that weemed to sieze once every year, to the horrid rattles, broken glove box door, broken door handles, broken mirror wires... ohh man that car was a pain in the butt!

Had a 66 gto which I put a 455 h.o. in with all the goodies. best time 134mph in 10:32. and had a 750 honda bike which I ran up to 140 before I chicken out.

i hit around 135 in my jetta yesterday on 355. I guess lot of the 1.8t guys cut out at 130 stock. I read my GLI tops out at 146....the car pulls right up to around 110-115...after that it dead crawls.
