Has anybody had any experince with a nitro dragster. I have been eyeballing the Megatech Dark Thunder for while now, and was wondering if anybody has had experince with it.

No experience... I just dont see the point of them though. Yeah they are fast... but is seems like a lot of money for a few quick runs in a straight line.

I never thought of it that way, for the that 400 bucks I could get a decent NTC3 or RS4 or something I guess. It is just I saw a video of these guys in action and man they are fast. But thanks for the input.

I don't trust Megatech products as a whole. I've seen some of there sedan based vehicles that would flex the chassis when the servo would reach the end of their travel on the carb and would blow spur gears on a regular basis on tee same trans the dragster has.

thats not saying a lot for the product if a servo can flex the chassis!

I thought I just saw a feature in RCCA or RC Driver on R/C drag racing and how it's becoming more popular.

If u can find a track that does drag racing I think it would be sweet. One of the mags did a write up on this guys custom dragster I believe it was R/C Car, it had a C5 circuit and did about 80 mph. They also raced the world's fastest nitro with world's fastest electric dragster which had like 14 cells on it. Can you guess who won

The electric Sad Ill see if i can dig up the article somewhere lol

I'm not a big fan of megatech. If you are looking at getting into dragging (I have some drag videos on my site, check em out) then you need to talk to Mike over at

Tell him I sent ya. His stuff rocks! He's got a new nitro coming out (it might be out by now) and it looks awesome!

His cars have always been the fastest. I think he holds the speed record right now also.

Thanks for the link, I was more what I looking for. They have some nice looking kits there. I think I will pick one up. I'm better at electric anyway.
