Im in the market for this fine setup. Anyone have any opinions on where to buy for the best deals? Will anyone give deals on the system with 2 extra recievers? Maybe even that new lap counter also?

Als would be my real local HS as I work down the street from them. LH would be my second choice. I dont do maant purchases from them so I dont get any deal off of retail. Now if i were to pay full retail for over $600 worth of stuf this far into the game, id feel like a big dummy. Tex, you of all people should knopw how important it is to save $50 here and $50 there. Big Grin I do buy alot of stuf from Als (REVO, Mayhem ST and all its hop ups, Bodies, Tires, ect, ect)But I see there is a big diffrence in price on this M11 depending where and who you buy from. The radio is not a need but a want, so I want to make shure I get the best deal I can find.

Kevin,

I think homer is 375 shipped for a m11 and spektrum, The tower radio is is 250.00 then add atleast 150 for spektrum thats 400.00 then tax since its tower and shipping. That will probably be another 35 bucks or so, so you are looking at 435-450 compared to 375. Homer is a great guy to deal with and You will have it in like 2-3 days since he ships priority. I have done lots of biz with him and highly recommend.

I bet if you wanted to buy another recv'r he would make you a deal on that also. So the total would be close to whatyou are paying at tower for 1 receiver. Just trying to save you some $$$

Tex, I agree somewhat.....I support the LHS with fuel, parts, supplies, and will spend money at the LHS track.

Big ticket items have to be considered from all sources. Mike at HobbyTown told me to make him the best offer when I am ready to buy a big item and if he could match it he would, but he does have to pay for those lights over head, so he knows he has competition from mail order and Inet.

The flipside is, if you buy all your stuff from online and mail order, don't go picking the brains of the counter guys at the hobby shop and then go buy it elsewhere. Their service comes free to customers who spend the money in their shops. If we stop buying from them, they will shut down and them what will we do for emergency items? Remember Hobby Garage?

But saving $100 on a radio system is big.

Tex, knew you were kidding (dirty rat only applies to me) but Freud says everything we say is said for a reason, so there must be even a small hint of true feeling in your words, even if you don't realize it. I think we all do what we can to ensure small business owners remain there for us, but it is only human nature to want to get the most for our hard earned dollar.

Even the most loyal hobbyshop customer has to "get a great deal" once in a while.

I'm good for a hundred everytime I walk into Al's. LMAO.

I went there with the intention of just exchanging something and 127.00 bucks later, I'm walking out with stuff.

Honestly i feel that for alota guys MY local hobby stores dont cater to want we need ... I mean they do have fuel and plugs and savy parts but it doent go much farther than that. I feel that MY lhs caters more to the novice 1st timer and basher than to the racer crowd. AND thats totally fine! Theres just no way i could justify buying things localy when the price with shipping from an online store is so much drasticly cheaper or more conveinent!

... To be clear i dont live near AL's or LH.... So im not knockin them.
Dont mess wit my sig Line tune!
