Well, like I said I got the TM yesterday and now I think I'll need some better filter. I have MotorSaver right now, but I read some stories where the foam collapses and lets in the dirt. When looking at it's design, it seems obvious...
Well, do you have any recommendations? Maybe some 1/8 like Mugen or Ofna? Here are two I found on Tower:
1) Mugen Air Filter Set .21 Buggy
2) Ofna 1/8 Foam Air Filter Kit w/Oil Blue
I'm not sure though if they would fit. Any recomendations would be great

I got that filter with the CV-RX and it seems to work well. It has something in the middle to keep the foam from collapsing. I don't know about the two you posted.

The OS 203 filter is good, but a little too $$$ unless you get it with a motor. Most 1/8 filters have supports in the center

The one I linked to? Fits nicely, right? And is it two-stage?

I found RB one and it looks awesome. I'm not sure if it will fit TM, though.

sorry for the caps lol but i had to make the point
The foam on those is not dense enough so it sucks dirt alot.

Hey, hows it going? I think I've seen some people on forums use the RB filter, but none of those will fit without modding. It's not hard to do, and most of it involves just cutting the filter neck...Then shoe-gooing it to the actual filter.

I use the Monster GT aka TTR 1/8 filter and a Mugen one. Both are great but the Monster GT one was cheaper and works just as good and the filters for both are close enough to amke them interchangeable.

Looks like the TTR one is dual stage, unlike Mugen, right? I think I'm going to order both TTR and Mugen one and see which one I like better.

I got the power racing ones that filter the mugen housing. These are awesome filters, I think I got 12 filters (with pre filters) and a huge bottle of oil for like $28 form amain

ohh scratch that.. I acatually have 1 TTR/AE filter, 1 Blue Aluminum Ofna filter (with TTR foams on it), and one Mugen one (with TTR foams). Two of them have the Hyper 7 lay down style filter tube and one has a regular bent one all with a wire bent up as a brace to give the filter extra support.

Damn, it's hard to choose :O
Maybe I'll go with Ofna, only because it's aluminium and everybody knows aluminium is cool
SixVi6-Camaro, what filter neck are you using for the Ofna? I'm not really sure what you mean by "lay down style" tube.

Its the one that comes on the Hyper 7 buggy. I don't have any part #'s or anyhitng for it because I bought mine on ebay. Here is a pic of how it sits though. and one more pic of the brace I use to suport the filter when the hyper 7 tube.

are you sure? because the filter is like paper so I thought that dirt couldn't get through.
also my uncle he works on engines and he sais that, the air filter would be perfect.

Nope, paper filters with RC engines do not mix. K&N has even said that foam filters filter better than paper.
