Any reef fish tank guys here?
#1
Im thinking of setting up a nano reef. I have had a few tanks in the past, and currently own a 45 gallon fresh with 2 oscars and a 65 gallon salt with a 3 ft eel. Im thinking setting up a 15 gallon or so reef, how much am I looking to spend? And any recomendations on equipment?

Yep that would be me---

Gotta figure on a few things.

1-how much do you have to spend
2-how much can you afford monthly
3-what kind of reef do you want.

Pm me and I will give you my number to call me and we can take it from there.
Check out my website and you can see how insane I am about it.

I had a 150 gallon salt water tank with reef system, 1,000's of dollars worth of fish. If you want to go salt water your in for a lot of work.

Ehhh it is not that bad----yeah at first it is then it is pretty easy as it gets going.
Yeah when go go that large it tends to eat you up a bit.
My 180 with 200g sump and 100g filtered water and a 55g mixed salt tank was mostly automated. Top off and dosings were also.
I pretty much fed, checked parms and cleaned the glass.
But I busted my ass to get it like that.

The routine of it is important and it makes life easy.

As for nano---20g tank is ideal IMO

I used to have 3 sa;twater tanks, now we have 2 tanks, a fresh and salt, 45 and 65 gallons respectively. Let me know if about 700 startup is to little and redicoulous, and monthly I can probally spend a decent amount. Am I looking at much higher startup cost? The care for it I know is pretty hard , but I feel I matured alot since my last nano I built real cheap, when I was 10 years old, it was a 10g LOL. Obviously all the life in there died pretty quick...

Gotcha. I hope you get it done. I would like to see pics and a price breakdown if you didn't mind. I would love to have one but I don't think I have the time or place right now as I will be going to college next fall...
