Just taking a poll here. Was wondering where you guys get your bearings. Do you buy a few good bearings or do you buy the cheapies in bulk. Amain has clutch bearings for $1 a piece. HPI sells 2 for $13. Where do all the 1/8 scale guys go and which ones do they use?

joe that fell threw, never got enough interest to make it worth while.
Gabe, LH is not a local hobby shop for me, its well over an hour- 1.5 hours away. I usually stop there if I am at the track, but no way is it possible for me to run down there for a few clutch bearings. My job is a 24/ 7 job so I just cant be gone for 3 hours to run to a lhs when I can do it a work online.
Sorry bud if this offends you, but I dont want LH supports/workers/or ownership to think I dont support them. I love the store but they are just not local. Mylocal hobby shop is HT ST CHarles - enough said there.

For my next question. I got my bearings, one side has the yellow rubber seal, the other has a metal shield. If I face the rubber seal towards the clutch shoes will it melt? Or should the metal shield face the clutch? Tell me wise ones...

I get the Racers-Edge metal shielded bearings. 10 of them run me 13 dollars. Thats the least I've paid so far for metal shielded 5x10's. I'm going to check out the avid ones.
