Yeah they suck!!!!! My idle is smoother, and my engine is quiter. And the power is much much crisper
Bottlebeast- I had a flashing engine light that means a serious malfunction. I dont have the tools, knowledge, or place to work on my ride . Besides with todays cars who knows where to start diaginosing todays cars without proper scan tools. the code from the self test built into the car was giving me a mixed problem code of lean cylinders so i had no idea were to go with that

Getting back from practice at the track.....
I was there with RyanC (son) this afternoon. What a buzz!!! Anywhere from 10-20 trucks and buggys at a time. Got to see a lot of wicked trucks running and conduct some business! Ryan wanted to get the Revo on the track, but it was chaos out there. It got so tangled that we jumped in and started marshalling just to avoid seeing those two young kids getting killed! I'm sure it was none of you guys, but OMG, people WILL NOT stop giving it the gas when they are on their lid and I'm reaching to HELP them. I got to the point where I would just stand there looking down at it until the wheels stopped turning at full throttle. Here's a tip to those guys....buggys will not flip over if you give it full throttle. And those other guys....giving it full throttle will not uncouple your MT when the buggy you're humping has it's wing stuck in your wheel well! This was practice, not the Nationals! I can't imagine marshalling a big race. They must be insane. To anyone who had a complaint about any of my marshalling, sorry, I'm a volunteer-in-training. If your truck stalled before we got to it, just remember, it was practice. We still had fun helping when we could. Saw lots of great action, and got to meet Bernie! Bernie, I'll say it again...Thanks for building such a fantastic facility. We look forward to carpet racing the Mini and On Roading with the TC's. Like I said, stock heavy on Revo parts because next time....Ryan's driving. He'll be the one with the Excel Driving School bumper sticker on the truck. Good to see the Chitown guys out there today! Until next time. Dave
Hey dave...lol I was one of the guys that thought that if I revved the throttle that it'd flip back over.......Some reason it was lacking on lowend punch...enough topend, but not enough low end...Just a note, crimefighters work semiwell, if you like grip enough so that you can get some power down, but also if you like to punch the throttle and slid around the corner....y'all on channels 1-6 be careful...dan was having serious glitching because some stupid bum wouldn't get off the channel....My buggy didn't like me....Died out if I wasn't fast enough to get up the drivers stand....Then one time I had it bumped up against the side of the pit lane, went up the stairs expecting it to stay there. I got up there, and my buggy was all the way up to the window! I'm like,,,jeez, people should leave stuff alone. And then people would just stand around the pits under the drivers stand and not move so I could get to the starter box....or they'd move it the second I'd step away then come back and have to move stuff and get setup again....losers....Mmmm Pizza is good, John you owe Dan and me 1.17 each for covering your butt...lol...I think my brakes might be draggin....not sure...I'll check tonight.l8r...

I had a question....was it hard to see the first corner at the left end of the front straight when guys are standing along the short wall between the pits and the door? I found myself watching from there but then it felt like drivers might not be able to see the corner. Can you?
01-02-2006, 09:23 PM
What's wrong with going to the dealer Rocco!!!!! They are the only ones that can diag. your car correctly anyway. Sorry I was closed today
01-02-2006, 09:24 PM
I would have taken care of the diag. anyway

I wanted to go too you but i was up in Park ridge with a chugging cobra and a flashing engine light.Needless to say i was very worried about doing damage to my mill! And i thought i only had 50 miles left on my warrenty i didnt wannablow the chance at free work/parts on somthing i though could be expensive. I found out i have 75000 mile warrenty not 65000. ill see you the next time bud!

Quote:To anyone who had a complaint about any of my marshalling, sorry, I'm a volunteer-in-training. If your truck stalled before we got to it, just remember, it was practice. Dave, first off, DON'T appologise for your marshalling. There are WAY too many people there who won't marshall, for whatever reason, and in my opinion, THEY have no right at all to complain about the marshalling. You did more than your part by getting out there and marshalling. Props to you for that. Quote:Jeez those little kids were annoying/helpful/deaf....You could be flipped over right by them and they wouldn't even notice...The boy decided that the best way to get my k2 off the tubing was to kick it so that the rear arm pops out and so does the axle...Great...thanks...Then when it wouldn't move he just let it sit there in the landing of the double.... Revo, Usually, when there are young kids marshalling, it is because their parents want to run, but don't want to put in their time marshalling. They for some reason think it is perfectly fine to watch their kids get hit/hurt trying to help out where they lack the courtesy to do it themselves. I'm not sure which guy you were, but did you marshall? At the old track, with less drivers running at one time, it still got too hectic for for 3-4 marshalls. Now, the track is bigger, and there are twice as many people running at one time, 4 marshalls in nowhere near enough. Again, this is only my opinion, but there should ALWAYS be at least 6 marshalls on the track, and unless that "6-10 year old" kid has a car there to drive, their parents should not send them into the "Warzone"
01-02-2006, 09:40 PM
I agree with you thenewguy!!! Those kids where only trying to helpout where other guys would not. "WARZONE" is right.
01-02-2006, 09:51 PM
Naa I know it's bad for the parents to make the kids go out...That's why I'm complaining so if they hear about it then they'll be ticked off and be like, then fine! I won't make my kids go out and you'll crash without any marshalls! But the thing is, if nobody is out there, usally somebody or a couple of people will go out and do it for a while.
To answer your q dave, naa, it wasn't hard to see past all the people. I only had 3 probs seeing because of; 1; People angling their antennas 45* away from them, out into the air, blocking the view 2; People holding their TX over the railing blocking some of the straight for me---not good 3;My glasses fogging up. I need to learn how to put my contacts in lol Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

its bad out there! some people just dont care about anyone or any thing but them selfs and there trucks.

and dont forget that they also complain, moan, and whine like hell whenever something doesnt go there way even if its there own fault.
01-02-2006, 10:58 PM
It was bad. I fealt bad for the kids actually. I think I marshalled more today than I actually ran. (Ask Tex... lol) I hated seeing the same trucks/buggies over and over again... knowing that they are not marshalling. I almost wonder if there is a way to regulate who is. There were so many people running and so few marshalls it was almost dangerous... and way more parts got broken than needed to be. Just my $0.02.
01-02-2006, 11:15 PM
Theres no way to regulate it... The honor system has to be stuck too.

whew...dont need no dramma, no no dramma dramma. I hope everyone had their fix today so I can hit the track tomarow and run some nice peaceful laps. Last year we had the Bern/Mike Police making sure everyone running ran thier 1 tank then put thier stuf down for a turn at marshaling. Lets not let it come to that cause they seem to pick on me most. :wavey: Remember, its about having fun and everyone deserves a turn.
