Question for graphic type people
#1
Ok, I have a question for the computer type people on this board. I'm looking for I guess it would be graphic software where I can create images, create animantions and modify images. Edit pictures. Keep in mind I'm a rookie when it comes to this type of program, so something that is user friendly. Any suggestions?

That would be photoshop CS2, but it will run you $650.00 dollars. It will allow you to acomplish everything you have mentioned, plus it comes with imageready which will allow you to create animations. You can find copies on ebay that are not the newest versions much cheaper. Just make sure they are unregistered.

Will Photoshop do animations? I've never tried... I know PSP with Animation shop is usually a very inexpensive program and one that many people prefer over Photoshop.

You can make web and low footprint animations using imageready which comes as a standalone bridge app to Photoshop. Its the only program I use. Maybe GIMP has a app for windows, its free and pretty powerful, but I dont thing it has animation capabilities. http://www.gimp.org/

The animation program I've enjoyed the most is actually something created to make banners (banner maker?) so easy to use and a snap to figure out frame to frame animations.

CS2 is the way to go. There is a way to get a keygenerator to register it as a full copy as well. Big Grin I can't remember the name of the anitmation program but I know I can probably find the DL and a key for it. I think that retails for over $1000. Very high system requirements though...

Thats for serious 3d and 2d work, Image Ready is more for Web and multimedia applications. I would love to get 3ds max but alas it is not offered for Mac. I would probably go with MAYA anyway.
