For most, epa's and trim is usually enough. I've got the M11 and it's has an insane amount of features that can be adjusted. So far all I've setup is the epa's and trim, lol. Oh, I also figures out how to work the lap timer feature.

M11 and other high end radios do have many more features. But, for what you guys are using them for is good enough. Ifyou decide to get into racing seriously, then you might wanna upgrade to a 3pk, M8, M11 or Helios.
All the options the M11 has is sometimes confusing. EXP, ABS, Speed, EPA, Dual rate, Gain etc etc etc......
Spektrum DX3 is a great radio for the price simply because of the spektrum. You dont have to worry about buying a seperate module too.

So to you guys that are already running Spektrum I have a question. I'm wondering if you run the reciever wire inside the body of the trucks or do you still have them extending out the body? I read with the Spektrum you can run the wire very short compared to a regular reciever wire.

I have mine completely in the antenna tube with a cap thing on the end. I plan on just keeping it inside the body.
I was reading the DX3 book and it seems to have a lot of stuff compared to the stock radio. I'm not saying the stock radio is all that great, but I don't know what most of this stuff is. I already set my epa's and some other stuff. And if I ever really get serious about racing I will probably get an M8 or M11.

yes I believe so. but its been about 8 months since I set mine, but I htink it is when you bind each receiver.
always set your failsafe to idle, this way if you leave your recvr on. the servos will be idle verses full brake and this will burn out your servos wuickly

Never thought of that. If I re-bind it, will I lose any of my info stored in it?
