yea get a new p/s and rebuild the engine. it is a great engine imo but it could use a better carb. im personally going to rebuild mine then get it modded when i have the cash

I'm not saying it's not a good engine, just saying the 2.5 isn't as bad as some people think.

I like the 2.5... I just want a little more. And back to my earlier wuestion about taht motor (that would probably help matt too) what shaft do you need to run it in the revo???

I asked the guys at Hobby town that very question for you guys. They said SG shaft

I am actually quite pleased with it. If I were going to stay with the 2.5r I would probably get the OS carb for it. Supposedly makes a big difference. Anyone know how the XTM carb is??

Its a rotary carb... I know not the quite as nice as a slide. But alot of people have seemed to be going back to them lately

Yeah... I think it makes the throttle a little less smooth because the opening gets bigger but not evenly bigger. (If that makes sense) I am going to do some looking still though as I am not limited by EZ Start ot PS any more. (modded my box hehe... see pics in the pic thread)
