What should I know about the RC10 GT?
#1
At school in production technology, the class is broken into 6 teams, 4 people each, to build, test, tune, and race hobby grade RC's. I got picked at team leader and randomly selected the RC 10GT Factory Team Kit. Is there anything important I need to know about this RC?

This year, we are going to build a track in the parking lot, but next year we may possibly take a field trip to leisure hours raceway.

Great truck, easy to work on, very fast, extremely durable. There isnt much you would need to change. The FT kit has all the upgrades I believe. If it doesnt have a MIP 4n1 clutch get one. RPM parts are nice to have, they flex alittle more than the stock parts which stiffer and are better for racing. There are some conversions you can make to it that will make even more race worthy. Like the front end widening kit, and the b4 axle conversion with RPM heavy-duty hub carriers w/ 1/4in bearings. Make sure the Stealth tranny has bearings, not Bushings, there would be 8 bearings for the tranny. You could go with robinson racing steel clutch bell and spur kit, but then you would have to probably upgrade the stealth tranny gears to steel as well. Swap out the Rear bulkhead with a RPM bulkhead. As a luxury you could get the Crescenzi Racing Brake kit, best brake for the GT. See my sig link which is a link to Crescenzi racing which is dedicated to all things RC10GT related. I hope this helps you and isn't confusing. Good luck if you have more questions I'll be happy to help.

it does have .98 hp, and that is pretty fast for the truck. i seen a drake II at leisurehours and the thing flys. just as fast as the 8 scale buggies. but it had the o.s. .12 tz that thing is extremly fast. on the backstraight, it had to be doing atleast 45....well that is how it looked.

At least that ramp is seeing some action, rather than just sitting in my closet...
