I don't think a new vehicle will make my race days more enjoyable, it will make my wallet a little heavier. If I go with a buggy that is made for racing, then I don't need anything to make it around the track.
List of things I need for my maxx:
spur gear $3
figuring out why I am eating spurs $?$?$?
New springs $20
wheel/tire/foam $100
I order the ue servo saver $50
Hitec 645mg steering servo $40 (is this the right one? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti...XUZ89&P=ML)
=$213 not counting anything else that I might break. I have been running with a bent turnbuckle for the longest time.

UE, Have you thought about putting the 2.5 back in your truck until you can learn to drive a little bit better on the track? Maybe its a little bit too over powered for you driving skills right now, I can barely even keep my truck in the tubes with the stock, but when I saw you that one time you werent too bad. I would see if you could pick up a cheap 2.5 before you go dumping all that money into that truck. Just my .02

Here's pictures of my second spur. One of the pressure plates was melted to the spur. It made an indent on the spur.

Bummer. At least it's a $3 part not a $30 one.

It might add up to $30 though by the time I figure out what is causing that to happen.
So for it's $6.

Since you have the predator chassis and its not flexing maybe your CB is getting to hot and in that case you would need to get some new clutch shoes, thats what happened to Revo2k on his savage, he put aluminum clutch shoes on there and he rarely blew a spur, everytime he was at my house he would go thru like 2 spurs with in a half hour. next time you run, temp the CB and just see what it is.

That's what RCDad thought was happening. Anyone know of any good aluminum clutch shoes for a maxx?

Novas are good, otherwise the stock traxxas shoes work fine, they last for gallons.

I've got a 3-set of used aluminum Nova shoes, I wonder if they would work on your T-Maxx?

I don't think those will fit on a stock clutched t-maxx, too big.

I should say they won't fit on a 1/10th scale flywheel with 1/10 scale CB.

Just got back from getting my liscense
Link doesn't load for me. I will just ask my LHS if they have any Nova aluminum shoes. I also got my UE Gen4 SS. I might also be picking up a Hitec 645MG today also. Should make a difference in steering, hopefully.

Awsum! I'm glad you got your license. I guess this means I won't be seeing mom at the track anymore?

Congrats on the license. Now welcome to the world of filling up your tank with outrageous gas prices and paying for insurance.

Unleaded gasoline = $2.45/gallon
O'Donnel's 20% = $25/gallon
Which one is outrageous?

I am not getting a car as there is already 4 in my family, so insurance won't be that bad.
RCDad, my mom or my dad might come if they want to. I just need to borrow a car for the day.= )
I also just picked up my Hitec 645.
