Updated Pics of the Savage
#1
Here are some pics of the new body I did for my Savage. Its a stock body out of a Savage SS kit, nothing special. This is the first body I have ever done for an R/C car so its not perfect, it was more of a trial, just to see if I could kinda thing. I still have to open the hole for the Cooling Head a bit, I put a chubby cooling head on so it doesnt really fit into the stock hole.

Well as per usual I got to enjoy my nice new body for all of 20 minutes, before my truck got whacked by a car!!!!

I lost:
4 tires/rims from the truck being wedged under the car and dragged for 1/2 a block.
throttle/brake servo, its running really slooooooooow.
one of the body mounts.
49t spur gear.
and my new body. (trashed)

Not a good day.

I was hauling down the ally towards a cross street and hit a pretty sizable dip in the road that launched my truck into the air. I saw the car come into view and tried to hit the brakes. My truck hit the ground and slid right into his path. He hit my truck and disappeared behind a building. I ran after the dude not knowing if he was going to stop or not. I got around the corner and he was looking under his car, lol, my truck was still running.

He asked me what happened and not wanting to admit to my own stupidity I told him it got away from me. He said "risk of the hobby"
He was an older gentlman, 60ish or so.

We had to bounce the front end of his car to get my truck out because there wasnt enough room to just pull it out, he was driving a Ford taurus or something.

Tires are already in the trash and the body, well, it doesnt really llok all that bad as its mostly scratches and cracks in the lexan. Some of the paint scratched off from the inside and the front right corner got smashed in but I popped it back out. The rest of the truck is still structually sound and show no other signs of the "accident".
