Dirt Dawgs 2006 Race Season
#1
Hello Everyone, this same message has been posted on the Dirt Dawgs RC web forum. Since many people here on this forum were either member of the Dirt Dawgs RC Club or came out and raced with us in 2005 I thought it would be good to post here to keep everyone up to date.

It wont be long until all of the snow melts and the weather warms up to signal the start of the 2006 Outdoor Race Season. Although this is several weeks away I wanted to start a thread were people could see what was happening with the club. There have been several changes for the 2006 season: new officers, updated rules, new points system and we are only having six club points races this season so this means more open race days for everyone and more cash races. Last season we used RC Scoring PRO software with club transponders but had a desktop computer that gave some trouble from time to time and was very time consuming to setup. For 2006 we will have a new laptop computer with the current RC Scoring PRO software installed. This should help the 2006 season run smoothly.

If you dont have intrest in joining then maybe you will visit us at one of our open weekend races or possibly a cash race.

New members can join at any time by visiting http://www.dirtdawgsrc.com and clicking on the membership tab and following the on-line information to register through the website.

If you were a member in 2005 and plan to re-join then please try to attend the club meeting tonight 2-15-05 at my work in Batavia. Dues for renewal memebrships for the 2006 season are due tonight for members that are renewing.

I am not on this site everyday but will be posting pre-season updates on this thread in the near future so stay tuned. You can contact myself or any other club official throught the Dirt Dawgs web site by simply logging onto to site and clicking the contact tab and selecting the official you want to direct your message to. Or feel free to join the discussion and post any suggestions or questions you might have here.

Thanks,

I wouldn't worry about how well you drive now. The point of belonging to a club is to share a common intrest with others that have the same intrest. In this case we all enjoy racing RC trucks. Your driving will improve in time the more you drive. If you decide to join or come out there are many members that will be able to help you out at a race day to understand how the program works.

Members from the 2005 season could re-join for the 2006 season and receive a discount so to speek. This will be the same for 2006 members that will re-join in 2007. For members that were re-newing in 2006 the final day for dues was yesterday 2-15-06.

For a new membership there is no cut off date. You can join at any time in the 2006 season.
