It's nice that current Revo owners will be able to upgrade to the new stuff without buying a whole new truck. Gotta love Traxxas.

Figures!!!!!!!!!

I go and pick up a new 2.5R yesterday, mod it up to fit a non-pullstart backplate and transfered over the flywheel and clutch to get it ready for install and breakin and then I read this thread!

Ah well, I'll save up a little cash, slap together the junk 2.5r i have lying around and send it in to get me a 3.3 and keep the new one as a back up Smile.

You got a Revo from UPS. They never brought me any of those yet. LOL J/M

Looks like Revo's will dominate even more than they do now.

A center diff evenly dispributes more power to the tire with the least amount of traction. You know how sometimes when you turn sharp and a rear wheel comes off the ground and just spins super fast? Well with a center diff all the power or most of the power will go to that wheel and because thats the only wheel getting power it puts it back onto the ground and keeps the truck moving a ton faster. The center diff from traxxas will still allow you to use the 2 speed. What they did was cut the Forward only shaft in half and put the foc gear on one end and a jato differential on the other end and screwed the diff to the gear and walla. Revo center diff. A truck with a center diff will be greatly faster then a truck with a transmission. Overall it will be a huge improvement. It will also allow you to use a bigger engine without fear of pulling wheelies.

Well at least small block Traxxas owners (T-Maxx / Revo) have a new option when choosing a new engine. Carb problems are common on the 2.5 maybe this has been corrected with the 3.3. I'm guessing this 3.3 engine will have simular power compared to the OS TM 18. Lets hope they last more than 2 gallons.

Did anyone look at the new maxx? The transmission, battery box, and rx box is all grey. I think the chassis might be too.

He's going to utilize their motor exchange program. They'll sell you new motor for dirt cheap when you send them a junk one.

A 2.5r at the lsh will be around $130ish. An exchange will you a new 3.3 for $135 at the cost of a junk motor. That's a good deal! Beats tossing out old broken 2.5 motors in the garbage. I have a old beatup motor that I'm going to exchange when the funds in my wallet are available.
