xxx-nt setup
#1
I was just wondering what is everyone runnin as for their setups.

Also I might be wrong but should my xxx-nt rtr break so easy. it seemed like if i tapped the tube I broke something, but when I was marshaling i noticed everyone else could take alot more of a beating and be fine. because of this I think i am going to upgrade the a-arms, turnbuckles, and i think im gonna get the bb sterring kit for it. do these sound like a good start? I have already changed out the front clip with a graphite one and the rear bulkhead with a graphite one. I also switched all the axle carriers and knuckles with regular non rtr versions. Is there anything else I can do to beef this thing up?

RPM Front Arms and I would reccomend the Lunsford Ti turnbuckles. I don't know anything about the steering kit but I would do all RPM ball cups as well. That should help a few things up front. That or just don't hit the tubes. :-) J/K man

well its not really a matter of hitting tubes i just want to know what parts everyone else is running cuz when i tap a tube and break an a-arm it kinda pisses me off cuz i see all these guys cartwheeling after the table tops and what not and they drive away just fine.

first off graphite snaps easier than the stock plastic. Graphite= less flex, Plastic= more flex which in turn the plastic can handle more abuse.

ditch the ball cups all together and directly bolt in your turnbuckles with a screw and nut, that's what most of the losi racers do.

About the steering, do you just have no on power steering and it's pushing in the corners? if that's the case those cars are notorious for that. You have to roll through the corners or brake and slide through them. A steering kit won't help if it's pushing under power.

thanks for the tips. also does anyone make stronger arms though for the xxx or should I just go with stock ones. Also i noticed all the arms were stamped rtr do these arms differ in quality from the stock replacements. I want to be able to get through my races with out breaking so easily, so then ill hold off on going with graphite parts but I dont trust these stock rtr parts, or maybe im just crazy lol

If you were marshaling and watching the A main guys smacking tubes and hitting the wall, that must of been me...I run a AD2 thats all stock with the exception of lunsford ti turnbuckles, the superduty 3.5mm ones and dubro monster balls. The monster balls use a 6-32 screw so you need to retap all the holes. The stock size is 4-40. And I had to drill the monsters a little deeper to screw the turnbuckles all the way in.
