obvious 'x' flaw

I like running a buggy tank in the stock place. I just didn't like the stock tank for a pull start engine. It was just in the way. I ran it once before finding a way to install a buggy tank... I've been running an OFNA tank for about 2 years.

I haven't seen too many people repeatedly break those on the other Savages, not nearly as bad as the T-Maxx anyway.

what kind of tires do you guys like? ill be driving pretty hard dirt and maybe some grass, because the stock tires don't look like they'd have a whole lot of grip

Actually, the stock savage tires hook up pretty good on most surfaces. They aren't used for racing I don't think because of the tall side wall. It makes it more likely to roll over instead of slide in the turns.
I run on loose gravel/dirt, grass and pavement. It tends to get a little squirrelly on the loose stuff, but on hard pack, concrete and grass, it grips pretty good.

could i hook up an ib3800 cell to the reciever/servos/ whatever else? what kind of clip does it take to hook the 6 cell up to the reciever?

You can't/don't want to. Get a normal 5 cell hump pack.

oh, i dont know where i heard that, but how long would like (the highest i see) a 1400 pack last? 20 minutes?

Nuh unh...that's like AA pack life. Rechargeable will last 35+ before you need to charge.

It depends on what your running... if you run digitals, you get less life.
I ran about 2 hours of pretty constant bashing with my revo running a hitec 645MG for steering and a futaba S3305 for throttle/brake. With the occasional reverse servo throw last weekend before my pack dumped on me. I think it's only a 1100mah pack. I get easily 4 hours with my savage running 6cell 2100 AA packs that I made.

well i kno team helotes has a 2400 pack and i kno a few people here run one. i would like to get one but its not top priority right now. i heard that you could get a race day out of them...

with these new "lighter weight' suspension arms, they've gotta be really really weak, who makes the strongest arms and would the top or bottom arms break more commonly?

i'd like to start by saying that i see the glass as half full
and i know (from experience) that front arms snap.....basically right in half from a small "crash" and the new arms are lighter, so im assuming that the material that they saved making them madet hem weaker, and im just wondering what the strongest arms are and do the top or bottom arms break easier?

First id like to say that Ive never broken a savage arm in 3 years. They are by far the toughest lower arms on a production MT. Bashing , racing , 20 foot jumps with 15 cartwheels at the end never broke ONE....
The lightweight arms will be fine. Titanium is lighter than steel. Does that make it weaker?!??!?!?!?

I'm with rocco on this one. I bashed and raced a savage for about a year which I had picked up from a friend who bashed it before me.
I never broke a lower arm either. The bulkhead or upright would break before the arm, lol.
