Werks .30 !!!
#1
I was reading my new 356 pg. RCCA (250 pages of adds) And i ran arcoss the werks racing ad and at the top they're advertising That they will soon have the largest, most powerful , nitro engine on the market. It will be a .30 . when will it stop???? Displacements just keep growing. I guess its not a bad thing but pretty soon will all be running .90's!
Just thought that night be interesting to some....

yeah that .30 will not fit in a regular chassis I heard. The UE boys were talking about needing a mod to get the case to clear some of the parts. I think for a setup like the JT, it shouldn't be a big deal with clearance issues, and its from Picco.

ehhh.. I read that the case is larger requiring new custom mounts and such to get it to work. Its not going to be a direct .21 drop in replacement like the .28's that are currently out. Also a Nova based .28 is already too much power and RB is almost ready with the competition modified .28.. that sould be completely insane.

yeah I said Tooo much power. My JT with the NR .28 is silly. You know you have serious power when you can do doughnuts at Leisure hours. Plus the overall wear when using as silly engine like the .28 is nuts. it destroys clutchbells with ease, burns up clutches even easier. Heck I'm using a firioni sliding clutch on the .28 because everyone says they last a couple gallons. ehhh.. the 28 wore the clutch complettey out within 1/2 gallon.

You broke a savage tranny? I've put my truck through hell and back with the .26 and I haven't even noticed any type of wear whatsoever.

I had a picco .26 for awhile and i broke the shift pawl in the two speed drum. I found that setting you shift point to engage second quickly and adding the second set screw for the pawl to grab pretty much eliminates this problem. I have had no issue since .... ( knock on wood again)

I wonder why the would put that in print if they didnt think it was true??? At first i thought they said that because thier motor was rear exsaust unlike the HB's side exsaust but the CEN motor , no matter how big a turd it may be is also a rear exsaust engine.... Theres gotta be a difference in how there being measured or somthing

They both claim right around 5hp. I dought that. That would break driveline components like crazy at 5hp. Maybe not, dunno. A Werks .30 might be cool though Smile
