Really don't matter what you get. There's lots and lots you can do with photoshop. I still use 7.0 and it's does everthing I need it for.

CS2 is a package deal with other software that can be used with it.
Illustrator, and others included in it.
If all you are going to use is PS then just get that cuz the rest of it would be a waste of money if you don't use it.

You may be able to still find an older version for much less than the new version. Like at computer shows.
If you don't use the software then I doubt you will notice much between the two versions.
Check out some of my work done with PS7

Me too, I use primarily CS2 since I don't do any graphic work, all photography. Where do you work shycago? Traxxas you'll be fine with just about any version, but ver. 7 and up would be the way to go.

I've worked for an Architectural photography studio for the last 6 years. One of the principal photographers and I have split from the main studio. I do all the production work, and he shoots. Is your place a studio and a lab or is that the name of the outfit?
Now you cant really use CS2 with any serial# now, because the new activation protocol binds the copy of the software to the system its installed on. So if the serial exists elsewhere it wont let you use it. You can install it and not activate it but the program will stop running after 30 days. All previous versions of Photoshop for Mac can be installed and do not require activation, however this is not true for windows users.

It will take some time to get used to it and get it figured out. It's no ms paint, that's for sure! You will NOT learn it in 1 night, that's a guarantee. Practice, practice, practice.

The key to photoshop is understand how the layers work. That's the key to making quality stuff on it.
