Revo with RB 323
#1
Here is my Revo with the RB 323. I have not broke it in yet. I am sort of nervous about doing it. I am afraid I might mess it up.

I just don't know what method to go with. Most people say heat cycle method. RB's instruction say to use the Traxxas method. I just want the easiest but most reliable.

Ive had good luck with the traxxas method, but ive only done traxxas motors like that, my other motors, duratrax/os said just do drive slow... so i dont really know about non traxxas motors, but i like the results of the traxxas method on their motors.

do the traxxas method, it'll work on any motor.

My personal method is "take it easy for 5 tanks, get a little more into the throttle each tank, by the 5th tank you should have full throttle pegged for 2 seconds"

it's pretty much the traxxas method although I just do my own thing the whole time.

All I can tell you is that no matter what way you break it in, that engine is going to be a handful! I love speed and ridiculous power...my .23 has that... but if you intend to race it...watch out...it's a bit much for the track. You will absolutely love it otherwise...stupid fast with tons of power!!

Yeah the truck is pretty new. I had broke it in and on the 6th tank the air filter came off and I sucked dirt into the carb. When I changed out the motor I cleaned it up real nice and put some WD 40 on it to freshen it up.

I do believe I am going to use the Traxxas method to break it in. The 2.5 I had was really waking up till my accident. I don't know about racing just yet. I feel like I would hinder all the racers on the track if I went.

I did check out Leisure hours on a race day and it was real cool. I will definitely run it on a practive day to get use to a track.
