I just picked up a deal on a like new Losi XXX-NT adam drake 2. It comes with an O.S. .12TR motor that has only a couple tanks through it but I want to swap it out for a pull start motor just cause I wont be racing it rather playing with it. I have a 2.5R revo motor, anyone know if that will bolt up to it? Or is there a pullstart adapter backplate that I can put on the TR? Pics coming soon

It DOES NOT bolt into it. If I remember Tommy (Squirell) went through hell trying to get one into his XXX-NT. Definitely a fun little truck though.

DO NOT TRY IT!!!!!!!! It is not a drop in. I had to dremel out the holes on the motor to move it back and then I would have had dremel the chassis to move the motor even FARTHER back!!! If you wanna straight up trade for a pullstart motor, I have a mach .15 that only has about a gallon on it. If I can get some of the other owners to speak up, I was about the 6 or 7th owner of the same mach .15 motor! The damn thing ran forever!! I prob put 2 gallons alone on it. I would say through the life of the motor it maybe had upwards of 7 gallons thru it. I would be willing to trade you for your o.s. if interested?
Also you will love the truck!! It's not that great for bashing on grass because the 2 wheel drive will make it kinda difficult. But parking lot bashing is a blast! they are quick and you can drift with them. lol.

.18. I'm sure if you wanted to do some modding you could put a BB in there!

I found a LRP pro.18z for about $130. Side exhaust, threaded shaft and rotary carb...looks promising. LRP = SH so it should be pretty good

you think that would be better than the LRP .18Z Pro? I found one for $99, I think the OS is alot more than that though.

The o.s. new is like 160-180. If your gonna sell it lmk a price.
Also gabe, losi's are setup for side exhaust. rear exhaust would work fine but would take a different header.

XXX-NT has rear exhaust header that comes with it, I am getting a side exhaust header for that LRP if I get it. I think the LRP looks like a nice motor and I know the Spec .28's are really nice runners. Hopefully the .18 is no different, its a 4 port too. Think it may get ordered tonight

thats the new beast, hope it should rip that little truck up pretty good. I want to make a sand-rail out of it. Some paddle tires in the back and a pair of mohawks up front. Just waiting for some Michigan sand after that. :joy:
