Bernie, Glad your doing well. You'll be up and running in no time.
The FM thing is pretty cool, but it does have its probs. The PA is important to have so that everyone can hear while trying to avoid too much noise pollution. Not sure if the people down the road will be able to hear it and complain. Speakers under the roof in the driverstand and on the light poles will be more than enough so everybody can hear the announcer. Too many tracks have only a couple speakers to handle the load and its clearly not enough. If you space them out the system will be excellent. Finn would know better.
Anyway, Heres to your speedy and healthy recovery. Cheers. JT

Is there someway to slightly boost the power on this transmitter or maybe move the antenna to a better location?
I know several people had problems picking up the broadcast as did I.

Yes. If I turned one way or the other it would lose the signal.

Mine was staticky like 10% of the time. I could be standing in one spot, it would be staticky one second, next second perfect.
I think over all it was great, may not be able to get it perfect but it served it's purpose well.
how the heck do you spell staticky, it's killing me....lol

We do have a antenna to put up yet. the one we have now is a small thing that came on the back of the transmitter. the one we will put up is good for 2 miles. and we still need to find a cleaner channel. 91.3 was great the first week. the second week it was country so we are on 89.3 and it dosn't pick up well. It may be a few weeks as I can't find enough time in a day.

Like Tex said, it serves it purpose even if it is a little staticky.

It sounds like when the antenna goes up there will be a strong enough signal.

Yeah, he just needs to hook up a cd player so that he can have music in between races. He can announce the upcoming songs, do commercials for Dent Tek, and announce the races... LOL!!!!
