Hot Import Nights
#26
I'm not fast enough to run with the big boys from Strats.... though I have set up a few there and run other places than the main spots. (I'm not listing anything. LoL) There is also a good spot off of 94 towards Indianna where I am probably in the top 25% speed wise so that is kind of fun to run at. Lots of action there too. A few have been set up out of corners or streets as well..... I was actually at strats last night trying to get something with a new GTP. He wanted 3 cars and the hit though so I told him he would be a perfect safe racer to go on Pinks. That pissed him off. LoL (And that was against my buddies F-150.)

It was HOT...... temperature hot. Especially since some of the cars were running, lots of people, you stood there and sweated. Had I not gotten $120 worth of free tickets I probably wouldn't have gone. The drifting was kind of cool though and although I usually don't like rap, the Ying Yang Twins were pretty entertaining along with T-Pain. (If I spelled any of that right.) Some nice Supras, BMW's, VW's and a Lightning. That and Top Speed's Skyline were about the only ones I really liked. I loved laughing at the "AutoZone" Tuners. Stickers, cheap guages, neons, and a sub setup bought in a pre-fab box from circuit city. Hell I could drop my car, enter it, and not feel bad after seeing some of those cars.

Strats is a hot dog resteraunt typ deal on North Ave. Just west of Rt. 83. The owner lets a bunch of car guys get together there on the weekend and even stays open late. (Until 2 in the morning on weekends usually) Races are usually organized and then people head to an undisclosed different location to run them. Its basically a prepped track now. Sometimes there is trailered cars, bike races.... pretty big deal. It's hard to judge when the good weekends are though and when its a bunch of safe racers wanting to make sure they will win, rather than trying to set up a drag race. Sometimes it's good though......

People usually start getting together there at about 10:00 or so on the weekends. Races don't really happen until about 2:00 in the morning maybe. If you bring the stang you may get something set up. Again..... it really depends on the day and the racer to safe racer ratio.

LoL.... in all honesty you would be better off waiting at home and giving one of us your phone number and letting us call you if anything is going to happen. Basically everyone has their little groups that talk $hit to each other for abou3 or 4 hours then sometimes...... there are good races. The only thing that went down yesterday was a crap race between 2 eclipses. The good nights are when the camaros, mustangs, corvettes, bikes, etc. are getting down.....

Ha! ......got it. LoL Little slow. D. Road actually wasn't bad at all. Everyone was pretty cool. Larry lost his spoiler and some guy actually brought it back. And shit talking can get very entertaining.

Now Ryan...... get very good at riding first. A lot of the bikes are stretched and have hidden nitrous kits and some have hidden turbo kits. Lots of GSXR 750's and 1000's, some 1300 Busa's, some all out street drag bikes...... good fun.

Dan,
How do you hide a turbo on a bike? Full bodywork? That would be slick, I guess.

they'll tuck it all the way ontop of the engine pretty much under the seat.. still not as crafty as some of the wacaunda guys though....

Some of these guys have some very nice bikes. Turbo kits on bikes are usually hidden in front of the motor under custom body work to completely hide them. The sickest bike there is owned by a guy named Brian, AKA "Gambler". Tons of work to that bike that is rumored to run in the 7-8 second range.

LMAO. Everyone kept to themselves. We had guys pull up on bikes to give mike light when he had to change a tire, they offered help, everything. Everyone seemed pretty cool. I wouldn't want to piss anyone off but if you keep to yourself and don't run your mouth it is perfectly fine. (Even though larry wanted to fight a guy for $160. LoL) And that is a different spot. No shootings there at all. Every now and then a cop will come by. Everyone clears out and then comes back in about 15-20 minutes.
