rb c3 modified?

hi a friend if mine has a older rb c3 for sale. i was looking at it for a inside or backup motor, when i was looking at it on one side of the case is the serial number engraved in there, by the mounting part, on the other side is a rody signature. just wondering if all of these engines are like that or if it has been modded by rody? thanks just didnt know how much to offer him.

sounds like a rody modified to me. That must be an old motor to be a c3, maybe 5 years+ old. Maybe some of the rb experts here will be able to confirm. I would just wonder if all the seals on the carb and motor are still good. Maybe check inside the motor or even run it before you buy it.

I agree w/ Tex...the signed ones are ususally modded
