dusty.
The track sounds interesting...
Once concern would be running carpet offroad. As much fun as I think this could be even with foam tires those cars might tear up your nice Ozite. Good luck with it and keep us posted.
Oh yea...why two drivers stands? Just wondering

The reason why we have built 2 driverstands is the first one is standard driverstand it is 20' long 4' wide and the base is approximately 40" off the ground. It has a scoring tower at one end of it for the AMB system and announcing. The second driverstand is a handicap stand for wheelchairs and motorized scooters. It is 8' x 8' and approximately 24" off the ground with a ramp excess. The reason with that now days there are a lot of people with motorized scooters and if you combined it into the standard driverstand there is not enough room for them to turn around.
Hopefully this answers your questions on the driverstand.
The main worry with the carpet offroad tearing up the ozite is when the cars land after a jump. We have to be careful of such things as small screws hanging off the bottom of the chassis. We have to provide a landing area after the jumps that will prevent tears in the ozite.

Winthrop Harbor is right on the lake at the IL-WI border, for anyone who might be wondering where that is.
D-mutt, is there a formal address for the track&shop?

There's is a large contigent of TC racers in the Chicago and Northwest suburb area that mostly travel to WI to race now.
What is your real name.....sorry not familiar with all the guys on this forum. Have you been racing locally at Trackside, H&H, IRP, RSJ, Venture, ect?
Email me if you can [email protected]
Just want to ask a few things regarding the track.
Thanks.

I tried posting on RCtech and for some reason it won't let me reply to anything. I have sent them a email to find out why I can't. Just waiting to hear from them.

If ya want to do something very cool, and if you will have a highspeed internet connection at the track, setup a live webcam! Its Easy to do and a lot of fun for people to watch. I'd be glad to help you set it up.

Someone created a thread for this at rctech.net un Wisconsin/Illinos Racing.
As far as a live web cam... Mikes Hobby Shop in Texas has a very cool web cam...you can control it yourself to view both of his tracks and can zoom in and out....check out their web cam...very cool.

It would be fine in 1/18 4wd class or in the 1/18 sprint car class. If it was in the sprint car class you would have to run Losi Street tires and a Mcallister
"wedge" body like the link below
http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/2...tocker.JPG
You may have the speed with the brushless, but it still a matter of control
I have seen brushless 1/18 get beat by almost stock brushed motors

We should be there later in the afternoon on Saturday. I have to go to Milwaukee in the morning. We are in a strip mall. The name is not on the store yet. Waiting for the sign to be made. We are right next to the grocery store (IGA Harbor Foods) There is also a restuarant there along with other new businesses going in there. If you have any questions if I am there tomorrow afternoon. I will be happy to answer them.
