naa, i'm selling it, its to much of a pain to get it into the revo and not worth it for the power compaired to my 3.3

Hehehe yess it is...Go to the track and watch bobbo's fly. He races a revo in UMT and does very well.

I say keep it, it doesn't take the mods most people think needs to be done.
I didn't shave the fins off the bottom of the case nor did I cut the crankshaft at all. I simply moved the tranny forward 4-5mm, bolted an 1/8 clutch setup on (fits like the TZ was made for it) and dropped the motor right in. SOOO...all you have to do is drill new tranny holes in the chassis right in front of the existing holes and your done. If it's too hard for you to drill four holes then I would say to sell it.

thanks tex, last time i checked they were still $299, and isn't bobbo running a big block revo2k?

Bobbo runs a EB18TZ. The TM (EB) is $299, the TZ is $249 (modded)

Tex Wrote:Bobbo runs a EB18TZ. The TM (EB) is $299, the TZ is $249 (modded) Which makes no sense in my mind lol.... Yeah I helped install the TZ in destroy_my_revo_15's truck. Just moving the tranny forward like Tex said and it dropped in with the stock clutch setup. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

I didnt know the stock set up worked. And yes,the TZ is cheaper then the TM(both modded). I dont know why,but my guess is because the TM is a direct drop so they expect to sell more. All about makin the money.
I did see that revo when I was there a couple of weeks ago. He won the second or third heat didnt he? I just remember seeing some people shocked about a revo doing so well against truggy's. But I know bri,and I have seen the 3.3 in action a couple of times. If he says he is happy with it,then he is LOL

briyouu Wrote:the stock clutch setup? i didnt think that worked Yeah-you just gotta get a different clutch nut and cut it down...I forget which though. Oh and the ofna shim kits-1 has a bunch of different stuff in it, one has a bunch of the same shims in it. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

See I did that,I cut the shaft down and I honestly didnt want to do that mainly because with all the work done to the motor. I was worried that taking weight off the shaft would effect the work that was done. Never heard if that is true or not. I have heard it can fit without that being done. Still have to move the trans forward.

well since this was talked about with a 3.3 and tz I will just say I was much more satisfied with my 3.3. Had about the same power but when me and Bobbo raced in STL I seemed to have slightly more bottom end but on top end it wasnt lacking at all. I like the 3.3 because to me it has the same power, direct drop in, plus its only 135 dollars and seems to last a long time. That has been my experience between the 2 motors so please dont flame it. I didnt care for the O.S. that much

3.3 is ok but the bearings and conrod are not up to par for the size of piston/sleeve it has, plain and simple.
