Just got some new additions for my fish tank
#76
yeah been searching all day on that site. Even talked to premium aquatics, they are real helpful... I thik I am sold on the Finnes 22 gallon, with the HD lights. Guy really suggested that one and it seems to have good reviews onthe site... Talked to the wife about it and she liked the idea...

Does Pesmart etc carry these types of tanks at all?

So fire worms just grow in the tank or what?

From what I remember when I was asking questions because I was thinking about getting into saltwater, don't buy the sand at a pet shop. I heard they sell the same stuff at like Menards for sand box's and it is a lot cheaper. I don't know what kind you need, but I just heard it's cheaper there.

They might, but DO NOT BUY FISH from there. They all (mostly at least) are sick, buy from a reputable pet store.

Old orchard has a nano cube setup that is ready to bring home and set up, corals, rocks, inverts, etc, for 350 which is a great deal.

Yup saw that there TTTM2. You should take a ride there and lookat it George.

As far as the fire worm thing, I believe they were there already considering I bought the tank used. Just didnt know they were there until it scared the shit outta me.

It is a very nice setup. I kinda want to do a nano cube, but have no idea where I would put it, plus I wanna focus on this tank, untill I get enough frags where they start to grow and I'll need a place to cut and frag them/

Well the wife gave the ok, used rich's ides the baby will love it. just need to decide.

I like the curved edges of the acrylic but the finnex 22 gallon glass tank has got me really interested.

Think I will go hit borderes on my way home to see if they have any books to read.....

George, do all your reading online bro. It's helps more than reading a book. Trust me, I did alot of research online and read books at Borders. The online stuff made it easy to understand everything.

yes I went to Borders as wasnt feeling the book for dummy's. The nano reef forum has been helpful.

Do you know if that skokie store carries the finnex brand?

Not sure.... I was looking at pic of it online. That's a nice set-up too. Just not fond of the lighting set-up on it. But it's cool how you can see the chambers in the back of the tank.

If I start a nano and once I get the hang of that, would I then be able to add a few fish?

Yeah, depending. There are like 4 models, a 6, 12, 24, and 29. The bigger the tank, the more you can add. Int he 29 you can have a few clowns, maybe a goby, depends on what you want/

I was looking at the 24 gallon one. I would have to find a spot in my house to put it so it can't be too big. I already have a tank in my room.

I am putting like all the money I make into this thing, I love it. I'm so excited for when it is done, with a bunch of corals and life growing all about.
