you'll see. The Wii will crush the ps3 because at least they can make them. Game availability for the wii will be crazy. You can play gamecube games on them, download and game from any nintendo system from day 1. Plus have all the new nintendo games. Madden 2007, call of duty 3, nfs carbon, Zelda, splinter cell, Rayman Raving Rabbids, ect. Best part is wii will have orignal games instead of sony makign the same game 3 times.

With everything I have heard so far with the PS3,360,and Wii. 360 and PS3 will be fighting it out for #1 with PS3 taking the top spot IMHO. Just look at the past between those 3. Sony has had the top spot since they first came out and with that right there. It will be very hard to knock them off. And they have some of the best product makers in the world behind them like IBM to start with. This system has been compaired to PC's for gods sake!

I dont think the 360 is really beating PS2 right now. I have not heard much as for the sales. But I highly doubt they are walking all over sony like sony has to them. And the 360 system is not going to fair well against the PS3. I remember reading a report about E3 and how microsoft came out first with the 360,then sony came out with the PS3. And the reporter stated what the microsoft people looked like when they saw it, 'The 360 people went pale'. Microsoft couldnt keep reporters around their area after that.

And the Wii? WTF is that kind of name?!?! And yes,for some reason,I dont know how Nintendo is still around. But they are. And yes,their problems are still there. They have game makers leaving them. Their games are aimed at the younger ages unlike the 360 and PS3. And overall,their system gameplay still looks,well childish and unchanged over the years. More clear and shaper yes. But still cartoonish if you will.

As for prices. The price of the PS3 is not going to scare away alot of people. Some,yes. But enought to hurt the sales? No. And they are losing major money on the system. They have always made it up in the games. As for the prices of the games. I have yet to hear $100 per game. Never heard that was a fact. Heard people say 'it could' be the price. But the only prices I have heard to be solid for PS3 games have been in the $60 range like they used to be before. That along with the system price should come down once the tech areas catch up to the systems.

I will do some research on this to help fuel the fire

I just gave my sister the elmo tmx instead of selling it. I figure that since my mom bought me a blackberry, the least I could do to repay them is to give my sister the elmo she always wanted. She deserves it more than some spoiled kid.

And I have also heard a few times that although only 400k or so will be launched on the 17th. Sony says they will have more then 1.5mil units already in before christmas.

All I can say is we'll see. Unless you have a HD Big screen tv with a state of the art surround sound you wont be able to see all the glam of the ps3's technology. I bet 98% of the people will have standard tv's without the HD stuff. They wont notice anything between the ps3 and the 360. Im buying wii because they just make games that are fun. Sony buys out people and puts out games that are graphic based but my computer will smoke those games in the graphics war and at a cheaper price.

Well see that is why PS3,360,and Wii type systems are all the rage and starting(or have been) to overpower the PC game sales. The systems are cheaper then a PC. Easier to use. None of the problems. Yes,you are hurt in the looks department. And game play area too depending on the game. But 98% of the people that play those games dont notice the difference between the 2 groups because they dont have or use their PC in that way. My PC can run todays games without breaking a sweat. But I dont play games on here really. And honestly,I could care less.

You can even go to best buy and get an E machine for 400 bucks and it will be as good if not better then a ps3 in the graphics department. That even comes with a moniter and printer. Plus pc games only cost 50 bucks at most. PS3 games are going to probly average 70.

You're wrong Ryan. Unlike the difference between DVD and HDVD's, Blu-Ray is different. If you play an HDVD on a regular TV, it looks the same as a DVD. It will however look better on an HDTV than a DVD, but not by much. That is because DVD's and HDVD's both held the same amount of content. Blu-Ray disks actually hold more content and look better on regular tv's than traditional DVD's. The difference will be greater on an HDTV, but the difference WILL be there on a regular tv.

And like I said earlier..... The reason I want one is because it will not only be an amazing system, but a perfect compliment to the new TV...... (I go to college, parents buy an HDTV. LoL)

No way in hell are you going to build a gaming computer that can hang with the PS3 for $600. It WILL NOT HAPPEN. I don't know what you're smokin man. Graphics are going to be better on an HDTV (or decent regular TV) than on a computer. Plus the load time on a computer will be centuries compared to the PS3. (Did someone buy a 360 and is trying to justify it now?? )
