the crt is a winner and the mutilator is just cheap. If your thinking ofna, go with the jammin series. There proved to be race worthy. Not sure if the new mutilator is or not but Stay away from it. Crt truggy or CR buggy. Thats the only way to go for ofna.

Stick with the CRT over the Mutilator for racing...for bashing the Mutilator would be ok.

The Crt has C-Hub style suspenion and the "turd-o-lator" Uses a king pin style suspenion. Not what you want!

kingpins suck they are like pillow balls standing up, c hub or PBS is the only way to go

There is a cool PBS conversion available for the Mutilator but buy the time you spend the $$ you could have had the CRT anyway.

what changes do you recommend for the rtr? diff fluid, shock oil etc? thanks
11-02-2006, 03:37 PM
For the CRT? CNC braces of any kind, though the KHZ ones at Amain are probably the cheapest. The stock plastic ones are flimsy as hell. First hard hit on the backend will most likely bend a rear center shaft. Did on mine.

yeah change all the diff fluids and the shock oil, my setup has been 7-30-3 front to back, although I may change it. the force .28 that comes with the crt rtr is an awesome motor. also I have ditched the roto start in favor of a bump start with a starter box. in fact the 1st time I ever tried to use the roto start to start the motor, it burned up the gears on the inside of the roto handle. I also changed out the stock radio and receiver. if your not going to race it, they would be ok, but for racing an fm radio system or spectrum is the way to go.

Are you going to the track tonight?

i think so..
11-02-2006, 03:49 PM
are the blue springs that come with the rtr ok?or are they too stiff?
11-02-2006, 04:01 PM
no those are fine, I use those and have no problem with them at all, just change the shock oil to like 50f40r
